Cosplay In Zink

Based upon Fevley’s comic ‘Zink’, exploring the non-canon question what if the main characters found themselves in our world and were trying to hide at an Anime Convention. Eleanor as Velma Dinkley from Scooby Doo. She looks a lot like Velma. Eleanor is always barefoot, so I decided to leave her that way. She has the social graces of a rabid wolverine, the temper of a firecracker and the patience of a lit fuse.

Ananda as Lara Kroft from Tomb Raider. She is actually the youngest of the group and somehow the focus of all things taking place in this story.

Cleo as Misty from the Pokemon Anime Series. Because they have a lot in common beside appearance. And appearances aside, she is actually the oldest of the group, and a deadly warrior.

Mark as Don Quixote. When last seen, Mark was on a Vision Quest that somehow involves burros. Thus his cosplay character ‘Donkey Hoe-tee’. Get it? The Chocobo is mostly just to take up space.

One of the main characters here is not a main character in the comic, that being the long-eared elf girl Jaylene. She tends to wear a Buster Keaton deadpan expression when not annoyed, which actually happens fairly often. She has a snake tattoo on her cheek, something of a spirit guide or totem animal.

The ‘girl’ looking in the window in panel 5 is actually a guy, Krayden, a companion of Jaylene. He’s a rabid fanboy of all things elvish. We were discussing his effeminate appearance and manners during his ‘Origin Story' arc, at which time I was mistaken for a girl while shopping by this guy who attempted to hit on me - until I turned around. So I am in no position to poke fun at Krayden...
