Jennumara

Jennumara, a 2006 Ford GT Tungston, one of my two babies! I had to roll her out the other day when she was hired to film a local commercial, so I took a quick (and bad) picture just after she came off the trailer before sending her back into the workshop behind the garage.

I’ve never been able to decide which of the girls I like best. Elektra, my BMW Z8, is a better car in many respects with her refined German engineering. But Jennumara is just soooo kewl. Both are very retro, old-school driver’s cars in the best sense of the word. No fancy dual-clutch transmissions (yes, I have one on my BMW Z4) You can steer the back end through a turn with the clutch and the throttle, just like a supercar should be. Yes, the engine is in the back. That scoop in the middle of the front hood is where the air from the radiator goes over the top of the car.

For those who don’t know, Jennumara gets her name from the mysterious Dark Faerie from Neopets, who had imprisoned and tormented Baelia the Grey Faerie. I don’t think they’ve ever released an official image of her.
