Thunder

My own Thunder, the horse on the right, and his sibling Dusty on the left when we brought Thunder back from the Reservation earlier this year. Yes, these are Belgians, but a unique variety of Belgians that the Apaches have been breeding for decades as trail horses on the mountains and forests of the Reservation. They’re lighter and rangier than the standard draft Belgians - you can see that Thunder quite a bit thinner than Dusty, who is more like a true Belgian. For the sake of reference, I should perhaps point out that the Lady Veterinarian on the right is barely 4 foot 11 (150 centimeters?) She makes them look like dinosaurs!
